Valley West Ace Hardware at 20639 Gas Point Road, Cottonwood, California.

My son & I were looking for something to catch live flyes & feed them to his venus fly traps. We split up to try and find some window screen. A minute later I heard on of the older employees tell two other emplyees "watch that kid". I heard the comment from 18 feet away. I addressed the employees and they denied that they said anything. My son was not disruptive, was not carring and merchandise and did not knock anything over.
Needles to say, I will no longer spend my money at this store. I will continue to shop at the Anderson Ace where the employees are happy to be there.

Ace hardware is a known for one thing and that’s carrying a lot of hardware and bolts. But like most Ace Hardware‘s they’re very very expensive. Not always but for majority of the time the staff is very nice and helpful. The location is nice, and very well-kept. They also carry a lot of namebrand tools like dewalt
Milwaukee and all the parts for accessories for them. But be ready to pay almost double or you can get it almost anywhere else for. They also have a huge outdoor selection of landscaping fountains plants and other garden accessories. The location is nice if you live in Cottonwood and don’t want to drive to the nearest hardware store in the major city of Redding or red Bluff. But with that says it is the only hardware store in the area for a good 12 miles during a busy time of the day it’s hard to find parking. Returns are easy if you made the wrong purchase, it always helps to have your receipt. If not they can look it up by your ACE rewards number if you have one and you used it when you purchased the items. All in all it’s a great small hardware store they’ll have most of what you need just don’t expected to carry a lot of the things of the bigger box stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s carries.
